Drainage Massage
Therapeutic massage aims to deal with the tension that is built up in the muscles as a result of physical work, bad posture, stress or illness. Anyone can benefit from this treatment and feel nurtured at the same time.
Some areas massage can impact on your life include; improved posture, eliminates aches and pains, prevents structural imbalances, regulates hormone delivery within the body, encourages the stress mechanisms to switch off and become more aware of your body in everyday life.
Various massage techniques are available at the Clinic and a treatment can be tailored to suit your needs at the time. A sporting injury can be treated focusing on a specific area of the body whilst a relaxation massage can drain general stress and tension and leave you with a sense of well-being.
Reflexology
Reflexology
is based on the principle that congestion or tension in any part
of the foot, mirrors congestion or tension in a corresponding
part of the body. These parts, known as reflex points, can also
be found on the hands, however, the most commonly treated area
is the feet.

Sports Massage
This
massage involves a diagnostic analysis of the related injury
and treatment is contained initially to that specific area to
assist with the relaxing and releasing of muscle groups. It is
recommended that once the initial ‘hot-spots’ have
been massaged to a manageable state, that a course of acupuncture
treatments should be considered for your continued
well-being and as a preventative measure of re-occurrence.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage
The lymph glands are joined by a network of vessels which transport fluids. Muscular movement is required for this process, as there is no ‘heart’ to pump the fluids. Lymphatic Drainage is a body treatment that relaxes the nervous system and aids the body’s immune system. It is especially beneficial for people who readily catch sore-throats and colds or have an on-going tiredness and also for the physically inactive.
Originally devised for post-operative fluid retention and lymphodema patients, this method is now proving useful for people with a lowered immunity and general fatigue like symptoms. The treatment invigorates the immune system and assists in improving immunity. It also improves the skin tone and condition and is a great treatment to continue through out life for general wellbeing.
